How to maintain the radiator of generator set?
The radiator of generator unit is very important to generator, it is to help generator heat dissipation to use, in many cases can cause corrosion to radiator, affect its normal use.
Corrosion can be said to be the main cause of the failure of the radiators, because in the process of use, the air in the water will accelerate the corrosion process.
Therefore, we should always keep the tube connection not leaking, and regularly add water from the top of the radiator to keep the air out of the system.
Maintenance procedure of radiator of generator set.
The radiator of the generator unit should not be in a part of the water injection situation, because it will accelerate the corrosion.
For non-working generation units, drain or fill all the water.
If possible, use distilled water or natural soft water and add a moderate amount of rust inhibitor.
The coolant of the radiator is usually very hot and under pressure.
Do not clean the radiator or remove the tube while it is not cooling. Do not work with the radiator or open the fan guard when the fan is running.
External cleaning: in the dusty or polluted environment, the joints of the radiator may be blocked by debris, insects and other things, which will affect the efficiency of the radiator.
Regular cleaning of these light deposits can be combined with low pressure hot water and spray, and steam or water is sprayed from the radiator front to the fan.
Spraying in the opposite direction will only bring the dirt closer to the center.
When using this method, use cloth to block the diesel engine and alternator.
Stubborn sediment, which cannot be cleared in the above way, can be removed and soaked in hot alkaline water for about 20 minutes, then flushed with hot water.
If you choose to use hard water for a period of time because the connection is leaking, or because the generator has been running for a period of time without the use of rust remover, the system may become clogged with scale.
