The air conditioning industry has made a commitment to eliminate all refrigerant HCFC

- Aug 02, 2018-

Recently, the ministry of environmental protection's center for foreign cooperation announced that in 2013, the consumption of room air-conditioner industry R22 was frozen at the baseline level, or 74,700 tons

Cut consumption by 10 per cent in 2015, or 6,7230 tonnes. On December 12, 2012, gree, dun 'an environment and other four enterprises received us $18.05 million in financial support

We have made a commitment to eliminate HCFC(hydrochlorofluorocarbon) as a refrigerant in an all-round way -- by December 2015, four enterprises will reduce HCFC by about 3,000 tons through production line transformation and other means

As the main raw material of organic fluorine chemical industry, R22 plays a very important role in fluorine chemical product roadmap, and hundreds of millions of products and equipment are produced around it

Its main downstream is TFE, fixed frequency air conditioning market, foaming agent, maintenance market and some export markets

However, since the production of R22 as intermediate raw material is not constrained, it is expected that the number of applications for controlled use production will decrease year by year in the future, and the proportion of applications for raw material use production will increase accordingly

As an important raw material for R125, ptfe and hexafluoropropylene production, TFE has a large and stable domestic market demand in the future, and the market is expected to maintain a growth rate of about 15%

Under the general trend of variable frequency air conditioning, more and more new enterprises of R125 are added as raw materials, and the proportion of TFE will also increase. In the future, this point may inhibit the operation rate of ptfe to a certain extent.

In addition, in terms of the maintenance market, the domestic production share of fixed-frequency air conditioners is still higher than the variable frequency market as a whole, and the huge amount of fixed-frequency air conditioners in previous years provides a stable foundation for the maintenance market, which is expected to show a small growth trend in the short term.
