AHU is an air conditioning device that provides fresh air. Functionally, it can achieve constant temperature and humidity or simply provide fresh air according to the requirements of the use environment. The working principle is to take fresh air outdoors, remove it through dust, dehumidify (or humidify), cool (or heat up), and then send it to the room through a fan. When entering the indoor space, replace the existing air in the room. Of course, the functions mentioned above have to be determined according to the needs of the use environment. The more complete the function, the higher the cost.
The difference between AHU and air-conditioning unit
(1) The AHU is used to deal with the fresh air. In a large-scale building, the new air-conditioned air-conditioning box is generally used in conjunction with the fan coil. The fan coil with the new air-conditioning box is almost the same as the air-conditioning. Under normal circumstances, the air conditioner itself has a new tuyere. The fresh air is used to ensure the quality of indoor air and supplement indoor exhaust. Because the fan coil has no new tuyere, all need to be provided by the new fan. The treated fresh air provided by the fresh air-conditioned air box and the return air treated by the fan coil are either mixed and then processed by the fan coil and sent to the room.
(2) The AHU mainly deals with the outdoor air, and the air-conditioning unit handles the air that is processed by the new air blower. However, the new fan can have a return air, and the return air can also have a fresh air. Its purpose is to better adjust the parameters such as temperature and humidity.
(3) In general, AHU do not assume heat and humidity loads in the air-conditioning area. The main function is to send fresh air. Of course, the ideal state is that the supply air temperature and humidity are constant, so the fresh air air-conditioning box generally controls the supply air temperature and humidity.
