Air cooler is simply an air cooler, which can be used as a cooler and as a condenser. Air cooler mainly consists of tube bundle, bracket and fan. The air cooler is fluid in the tube and the air is blown outside the tube bundle. Because the heat transfer requires a large amount of ventilation, and the wind pressure is not high, so more use of axial-flow fan (see fluid conveying machinery).
The type and material of tube bundle have great effect on the performance of air cooler. Because the heat transfer coefficient of the air side is very small, the fin is often applied in the tube to increase the heat transfer area and fluid turbulence to reduce the thermal resistance. The air cooler mostly uses radial fins. In the air cooler, the outer diameter is usually 25mm, and the fin height is the same. 5mm low fin tube and high fin tube high for 16mm. Fins are generally made of high thermal conductivity materials (the most commonly used aluminum), twining or inlaid onto a light tube. In order to enhance the heat transfer effect of air cooler, water can be sprayed in the imported air. This not only reduces the air temperature, but also increases the heat transfer coefficient. The use of air coolers can save a lot of industrial water, reduce environmental pollution, reduce infrastructure costs. Especially in the water shortage area, with air cooling instead of water-cooled, can alleviate the contradiction of water shortage.
