What Is A Finned Tube Coil?

- Mar 22, 2018-

Finned tube coil are the most widely used heat exchange equipment in gas and liquid heat exchangers.

It achieves the purpose of enhancing heat transfer by adding fins to a common base pipe.

Base pipe can use steel pipe; stainless steel pipe; copper pipe and so on. The fins can also be used with steel strips; stainless steel strips, copper strips, aluminum strips, etc.

Heat exchangers that add fins to the heat exchange tubes to increase the heat dissipation area can

all be classified as "finned tube coil."

Finned tube radiator according to the structure of the fins can be divided into around the film type; string piece type; welding type; rolling type. Commonly used materials for steel; stainless steel; copper; aluminum and so on.

The most widely used fin-type heat sinks are steel-aluminum finned tubes (coiled steel-aluminum composite finned tubes, rolled-steel-aluminum composite finned tubes). It utilizes the pressure resistance of steel tubes and aluminum. High-efficiency thermal conductivity, compounded on dedicated machine tools. Its contact thermal resistance is almost zero at 210°C.

Steel-aluminum finned tube coil have the irreplaceable advantages of other types of finned tube radiators.

The finned tube coil is generally used for heating or cooling air, and has a compact structure and a large unit heat exchange area. Widely used in textile, printing and dyeing, petroleum, chemical, drying, electricity and other fields.
