What Is A Intercooler?

- Aug 30, 2019-

The intercooler is a mechanical device for cooling the gas after the compression process. The compression process increases the internal energy of the gas, which increases the temperature and reduces the density. In other words, the intercooler is the device used in the compression process, typically a heat exchanger that removes waste heat in a gas compressor. They are used in many applications, including air compressors, air conditioners, refrigeration and gas turbines, and automotive engines.
