What Is A Stainless Steel Condenser?

- Mar 14, 2018-

Stainless steel condenser is a cooling device.

Condenser - stainless steel condenser, tube condenser

A stainless steel condenser is a device that transfers part of the heat of a hot fluid to a cold fluid, also known as a heat exchanger. It is widely used in chemical, petroleum, power and atomic energy industries. Its main function is to guarantee a specific temperature for media during crafting process. At the same time, it is also one of the major devices for improving energy efficiency.

The stainless steel condenser can be a separate device such as a heater, cooler, condenser, etc. It can also be part of a process equipment such as a heat exchanger in an ammonia synthesis tower. Due to limitations in the manufacturing process and scientific level, early heat exchangers (condensers) used only a simple structure, and the heat transfer area was small, bulky and cumbersome, such as serpentine heat exchangers, etc. With the development of the manufacturing process, a shell-and-tube heat exchanger is gradually formed, which not only has a large heat transfer area per unit volume, but also has a good heat transfer effect. For a long time it has become a typical heat exchanger in industrial production.

Stainless steel condensers can be divided into hybrid, regenerative and partitioned types depending on the type of heat transfer. The equipment is generally made of metal material. Among them, carbon steel and low-alloy steel are mostly used for manufacturing medium and low-pressure heat exchangers. In addition to stainless steel mainly used for different corrosion conditions, austenitic stainless steel can also be used as high and low temperature materials. Nickel alloys are used under high temperature conditions.
